[ THE HEART BEHIND THE flowers ]

About me

Tejaswini Kumar is a botanical sculptor whose work reimagines the language of flowers and branches through the medium of cold porcelain. Her contemporary floral arrangements transcend traditional forms, transforming petals, stems, and branches into deeply expressive studies of individuality and grace.

Drawn to the quiet elegance of the natural world, her practice centers on observing how every plant grows with its own rhythm and character — sometimes symmetrical, often beautifully irregular. She finds beauty in asymmetry: in the way branches stretch toward light, in the quiet defiance of wild growth, and in the subtle imperfections that define life itself. Each of her sculptures focuses on a single plant or tree variety, celebrating not just its external form but its distinct personality.

An artist who has always seen beauty through a different lens, she grew up captivated by the smallest details: the curve of a petal, the rhythm of a stem, the texture of bark, that are often overlooked. For her, art became both an exploration and a refuge, a way to translate solitude into serenity and observation into creation.

As an emerging artist, Tejaswini Kumar continues to develop her body of work around contemporary floral arrangements, blending realism with emotion and precision with intuition — offering viewers a renewed way to see nature, not as decoration, but as quiet individuality made visible.
